The deceptively lush production of this music can't hide the welcome bite of the singer. She's got a full range and at times reminds me of Cyndi Lauper, a singer I've always enjoyed.
There's good songwriting, a wall of guitars and that great vocal at center. Great tunes all around.
EMMSLY's new CD "Keep It Alive" is a refreshing blast of Retro Rock with a splash of POP on the side. It is a guitar driven, mostly mid-tempo CD with great vocals and a great message.
Do You Feel the Need for Love is a mid-tempo, guitar-driven melodic rock track. The female vocals are well balanced with the guitars and contribute to the overall pleasantly mellow sound. .... Overall, this is a good track with some noticeable retro flavor. The '80s sound could be a good idea, but to make it more appealing it needs to be approched in a modern way. By doing so, the track will be likable to larger audiences and of interest even to radio stations. And who knows, it might become a classic.
